Where do we sail?

LMSC sails on Lake Monona. With 3,274 acres and a maximum depth of 68 feet, Lake Monona provides ample room to hold sailboat races. Lake Monona forms the south shore of the isthmus that forms downtown Madison. Our sailing venue provides a tremendous view of downtown Madison, including the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

LMSC maintains two club piers, one at Stonebridge Park in the City of Monona and the other at Olin Park in the City of Madison. More information about our piers can be found here.

Non-sailors are also welcome at the piers. Many area residents use the piers for fishing or relaxing and enjoying the views of the lake.
